Over the weekend electronic-funk outfit Steez took to the streets of Madison to play the annual Mifflin St. Block Party. To a crowd of 10,000+ comprised of wild college kids and those who just came to party on a beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon, Matt Williams (keyboards/synthesizers), Steve Neary (guitar and vocals), Rob Bessert (drums), Chris Sell (bass), and Andrzej Benkowski (saxophone) brought the Creepfunk. Opening with a cover one-two punch of Madonna's "Like A Prayer" and Daft Punk's "Robot Rock" the party that started earlier that morning in the two block stretch just west of Madison's capital building got a disco-fanged boost. Steez will be playing various 2011 dates in the Midwest and beyond including
Summercamp,
Wakarusa,
Electric Forest, and
